Aftermath

The organizing committee wishes to thank all the speakers for their contribution to the conference. Thinking After Dark: Welcome to the World of Horror Video Games has been a great success with many people showing up from the industry, academia, and general public to learn more about "these games we've come to crave" (to echo the conference's theme song).

Many of the presentations will appear soon in one of two scholarly works: an anthology directed by Bernard Perron and titled Horror Video Games : Essays on the Fusion of Fear and Play, to be published shortly by McFarland Press; and a special issue of the Loading... journal of the Canadian Game Studies Association. Publication details will be added as they are available.

In addition to the speakers, we would also like to thank all our helpers for making everything go smoothly: Alexandre Blumenroeder, Bruno Dion, Simon Dor, Jean-Sébastien Houle, Mathieu Li-Goyette, Philippe Mathieu, Andréane Morin-Simard, Guillaume Morin, and Patrick Morin.
